Shop, save, and give at We-Care.com

Man, the Internet, for all its ills, keeps getting better! I received an email asking me to check out We-Care.com. It’s a website that allows you to shop at some of your favorite stores and a percentage of funds are automatically donated to an organization of your choice.

I took a look on there earlier, and there are some GREAT stores on there! I found Bebe, Betsey Johnson, Steve Madden, Macy’s, Best Buy, etc! The site is pretty easy to navigate and they even offer coupons/discounts for some stores!

I spent the night at my sister’s house so we could do dinner, wine, and “Fashion Rocks!” Fashion Rocks is part-concert, part-fashion show, and 100% fabulous! The show featured performances by Rihanna (favorite performance), Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Kid Rock, and Solange (second favorite performance). Tonight marks the show’s fifth anniversary and all ticket proceeds benefitted Stand Up to Cancer.

Stand Up to Cancer is a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), a charitable organization, and was established by a group of media, entertainment and philanthropic leaders, whose lives have all been affected by cancer in significant ways. Stand Up To Cancer leverages industry resources, including people, television and the web, in the fight against cancer.

In addition to tonight’s Fashion Rocks show, you can also bid on select items in the Fashion Rocks charity auction on eBay. Some of the items listed include:

  • Dinner for 2 at the NY hot spot, Waverly Inn, and an autographed Vanity Fair book
  • Vanity Fair

  • An autographed Venus Williams’ tennis racquet
  • Venus

  • BCBG $1000 shopping spree gift certificate
  • BCBG

  • Tickets to the 2009 Baby Phat fashion show and a meet-and-greet with Kimora Lee Simmons (sign me up for that one!)
  • Kimora

For additional items, visit the eBay store by clicking here. The auction closes on Monday, September 15th. Happy bidding!

This m.powerment Expert Advisory Board will recommend five organizations focused on ending partner and relationship violence and award them with up to $50,000 in grants.

The necklace costs $22 and will be featured on meetmark.com from September 16th to April 28, 2009. If you don’t have a local Mark representative, you can order the necklace online at meetmark.com.

It should be no surprise that Philosophy has a line of products dedicated to raising funds for charity. I mean, this beauty brand wants you “to live a better life by being better to yourself.” And, there’s no better way to be better to yourself than to be better to someone else.

Philosophy carries various products to benefit charities…See below for the lineup!

It’s an organization to “heal, educate, and empower” survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. It’s great to see that she’s leveraging her television role and celebrity for a great cause.
